Watercress

 

Watercress, also known as the nose twister, is considered a scrumptious superfood because of its high content of antioxidants like vitamin C. With a peppery taste and a crisp texture, it also produces edible seeds and both the delicate green leaves and stems can be eaten – making it a real mealtime all-rounder.

Watercress can be eaten fresh, sautéed, added to give body to soups, mixed with other leaves in salads, added to sandwiches, tarts and even scrumptious breakfast omelettes.
